India Mission Base
Simon and Helen head up our missions work in India. They have 2 daughters. Simon, Helen and Ed, who is also part of the missions team in India, moved to pioneer the work there in October 2002. The base now runs several projects including Crossweave, a handicraft outreach project where local ladies are employed and trained in making beaded jewellery, whilst also provided with an environment where they are loved, discipled and given the opportunity to hear the gospel.
SLM India
School of Life & Ministry – Bible School
SLM India has been running since 2004 and has trained students from five nations across South-East Asia. The school is a 6-month residential course with a two-fold purpose. Firstly, to see each student transformed and conformed into the image of Christ, and secondly to see them raised up as labourers to reach the vast harvest fields of North-east India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and beyond.
Life Church India
In June 2006, Life Church India met for the first time in a small rented school room. Since then it has increased both in numbers and influence and now meets in the SLM India main school building. The church hosts frequent outreach events for the local community which has resulted in much interest
and openness of the local people, new families coming regularly to the church, and in first-time salvations.
