Take a mid-thirties married woman with divorce
looming, a stack of inherited debt and young
children to raise alone, and one has an all-too
common case scenario of these modern times.
I was such a statistic; my children numbering
five between the ages of one to eleven and my
debt reaching almost half a million pounds.
A once joint-proprietor of several businesses,
this predicament forced me to join the long
queue of Benefit receivers. That was over a
decade ago. Now, if examining the current standing
of this household you would find a thriving,
well-balanced, hope-filled, purpose-driven,
emotionally stable, close-knit family who bear
no bitterness over their past experiences. Even
the massive debt has been reduced, legally yet
supernaturally, to the last £100,000. "That
would all take a miracle", you say.
You are absolutely right!
Miracles only come from God. It often takes
knowing God to recognise them, but they are
happening all the time even in this present
hour. I saw a poster once, which read, "A
miracle is but a small thing when you know the
love of God." I thought, "Preposterous!
If miracles do indeed exist today then how can
that be a SMALL thing?" Our family
became acquainted with the writer of that statement
and very quickly started daily experiencing
the miraculous. We came to know God personally
and His own Son Jesus Christ, as a real, active,
faithful Friend and Saviour.
The writer was Robert Maasbach and the year
1989. Over the past fifteen years of being affiliated
with this remarkable man and his ministry, I
have raised a healthy family, been through Bible
College School
of Life and Ministry, travelled
the globe, established a business... and all
from a starting point of heartbreak, poverty
and loneliness. The children are embarking on
life courses that are taking them into realms
most youngsters only dream about. My own present
and future is becoming more exciting with every
year that passes.
For what our lives have become we give all praise
to God, His Son Jesus, and the magnificent entity
of the Holy Spirit. We give all thanks to the
modelled teaching and guidance offered by Robert
Maasbach and the congregation members of Life
Church. Together they led us into face-to-face,
side-by-side relationship with humanity's Creator,
and consistently encourage us to thrive there.
Being a Christian is THE most exciting, rewarding
and satisfying way to live. Best of all, it
works perfectly for every human being whatever
their background, race, situation, personality
profession, lack, disability or previous belief.
Wait no longer to know the reality of total
peace and wholeness by accepting what Jesus
had already done for you through His death on
the cross. I can guarantee, from experience,
you will never be the same again, and you will
never regret it!
