Latest Report from Pastor Robert's
recent visit to the India base
30th November 2009
Jesus encouraged us to do the same works He did with an expectation to see great things. Jesus went about doing good, healing and helping people as God was with Him.
Robert teaching at SLM India
This was my joy in so many ways on my last trip to India, not only to know God with me, but to see all those beautiful new labourers for Christ in the India bible school being equipped for the work of the ministry. The presence of the Lord was so strong, we worshipped and praised God for a long time as we were all filled with the Holy Spirit. It is a diverse group this year of many young men and women but also some older men who have been Pastors for many years that have come to the bible school. The team are doing such a phenomenal job to not only care for the students’ sleeping and eating but also for their souls, upholding them like the Good Shepherd while they are away from their family and familiar home environment.
Robert preaching at Life Church India
We had an evening service at Life Church India, it was like being at home; the presence of the Lord was so strong! Every week new people are being added to the Church. It blessed me beyond measure to see the team so encouraged about all the good things the Lord is doing.
I also met three interns from Life Church Korea who were temporarily working at the India base. One of them told me the story of how some of his family members were recently beheaded in the Philippines where they were working as Missionaries. His whole heart was burning bright with the Love of Jesus to do whatever he could to reach the unreached, tell the untold and be a witness to the ends of the earth.
Oh dear friend, may all our hearts burn with Christ’s love and compassion and may we see beautiful things happen every day. While I saw the great need in India and prayed for many precious people there, I was overwhelmed with the thought of how our own country and community here in Britain is no less a mission field and needs all our love and attention. Someone said the light that shines the farthest shines the brightest at home. Let's arise to do the works Jesus did and expect great things. Robert
