Since October 2002, a thriving church and a bible school (SLM) have been established. The base also runs several projects including Crossweave, a handicraft outreach project where local ladies are employed and trained in making beaded jewellery, whilst also provided with an environment where they are loved, discipled and given the opportunity to hear the Gospel. Local youth outreaches such as sporting events and fun nights attract many young people and also provide great opportunities to share the love of God. Life Church India

In June 2006, Life Church India met for the first time in a small rented school room. Since then it has increased both in numbers and influence and now meets in the SLM India main school building. The church hosts frequent meetings and events for the local community which has attracted many new families resulting in first-time salvations. The Kids ministry is busy every Sunday with kids coming from all over the local area to sing, play and hear Bible stories.

Bible College

SLM - the School of Life and Ministry, has been running since 2004 and has trained students from five nations across South-East Asia. The school is a 6-month residential course with no fees and it holds a two-fold purpose. Firstly, to see each student transformed and conformed into the image of Christ, and secondly to see them raised up as labourers to reach the vast harvest fields of North-east India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and beyond.

To attend a Christian bible college within such a culture is not the norm and many of the students pay a great price and travel very far. As of 2010, we will have seen over a 115 students pass through the school. We are astounded each year to see what the Lord does and we constantly hear the amazing testimonies of past students who have now travelled back home and sharing the message of Christ. Through their time at SLM, students are challenged to live sold-out for God and to not stay at the church but to go out and work for the Kingdom with a heart to see the lost saved.
